Job Title: Maintenance Fitter Location: Sheffield Shifts: Days & Afternoons Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per annum Metalis is working with a company based in Sheffield who manufacture wire materials for a range of different industries including agricultural and entertainment. Job Role: To ensure that all plant, machinery, land, and buildings are maintained to the highest standards.To ensure all work is carried out in the most efficient, safe, and environmentally acceptable manner.Liase with maintenance supervisor to ensure timely repair of machinery.Carry out planned maintenance work as laid out by maintenance supervisor.To ensure that at the start and end of each shift all tools and equipment are accounted for and available for next shift.To keep accurate daily and weekly records of work carried out on jobs.To report any accidents or near misses.Control all maintenance related consumables, ensuring that stock is ordered in a timely manner. The plant is currently in its final stages of commissioning, and we are looking to build our maintenance team. The site is full of exiting challenges and the opportunity to learn and progress your career in the waste to energy sector. As the shift Fitter you will carry out day to day duties of Preventative Maintenance tasks and attending brake downs. As a Production Fitter you will be responsible for all aspects of gearbox & power transmission overhaul, including but not limited to; stripping, cleaning, inspecting, reporting, assembling, testing and final assembly.
