Domestic Assistant - Relief

CrossReach Residential Recovery Service based in the West end of Glasgow, supports people who are committed to living drug and alcohol free. Our service is modern and welcoming and provides residential support for those looking to change their lives.

We are now looking for Domestic Assistants to join the team and to help us to provide a safe and welcoming environment for those we support.
Reporting to the senior person on duty, together with others, you will help keep the building in a clean, tidy and where necessary, hygienic state.
One of the key functions is that we enable those we support to make independent decisions and you will be part of that work, helping residents to become involved in domestic responsibilities and as such help them participate in looking after the unit.

Ideally you will have similar domestic experience, but we are looking for people who can get involved and who can understand those who we support.

As this is a relief role you will be able to work shifts that fit in with other commitments whilst being involved in work that is truly changing peoples lives.

As a Christian organisation, you will need to have a respect for all aspects of Christian worship and you will need to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks.

We have a legal obligation to ensure that it does not employ any worker who has not been granted the relevant permission to work in the UK. This permission is without exception granted by UK Visas and Immigrations. We are required to check the entitlement to work in the UK of all prospective employees, regardless of nationality or job category
