We are currently recruiting for an experienced Interim Financial Controller for a well-established forward-thinking client in the Swindon area. You will undertake specific operational finance tasks to support to ensure the efficient and effective use of the organisations budget, ensuring compliance with the organisations financial policies.  This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract with the possibility of an extension.

Main Duties:

  • To agree the final budget with the Chief Clinical Operations Executive.
  • To present the summary final budget to the Finance and General Purposes Committee for their approval at the Board.
  • Prepare monthly management information together with a cash flow forecast for presentation to the Finance and General Purposes.
  • To prepare and maintain financial records appropriate to the size and complexity of the organisation.
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions including debtor and creditor control ensuring wherever possible that creditors are paid on the due date, and debts are collected.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and report to the Chief Clinical Operations Executive and the Finance and General Purposes on material variances against budget.
  • To monitor and interpret daily, short and long-term cash flows and identify trends reporting any foreseen difficulties.
  • To post all journal entries and prepare the trial balance for the external accountants and auditors.
  • Provide, interpret and manipulate financial information for relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain the Fixed asset register and post depreciation.
  • To advise the Chief Clinical Operations Executive on investment and financial strategy to aid in short and long-term strategic plans and decision making.
  • Ensure that all contracts and communication is compliant with GDPR.
  • Four direct reports

The ideal candidate will be part of fully ACCA or CIMA qualified, have a high level of computer and numerical literacy, including packages such as Excel and Word.
