MFL Teacher (German Specialist)
  • Job Type: Part-time (Mon, Tue, Fri)

  • Salary: Main teacher payscale

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated MFL Teacher, with a specialism in German, to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be teaching students from Year 7 to Year 9, with the potential to also teach Year 12. This role may include responsibilities such as planning and marking, which can be discussed further.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Delivering high-quality German language lessons to students in Years 7 to 9, with the potential to teach Year 12.
  • Engaging students in the learning of German through a variety of teaching methods that cater to different learning styles.
  • Planning lessons and preparing teaching materials that align with curriculum objectives.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback to support their learning.
  • Maintaining a positive learning environment in the classroom.
  • Collaborating with colleagues in the MFL department to enhance the language curriculum.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A degree in German or a related subject.
  • A teaching qualification relevant to the UK education system.
  • Experience teaching German at secondary school level.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to learn and appreciate the German language.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the school and students.
