The Company

Nigel Wright is pleased to be supporting a high-volume manufacturing business in Sunderland looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician, as they continue expanding their team to facilitate future growth.

The maintenance team work a continental shift pattern. Salary is £52,000 including shift allowance. 

Excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance technician having previously worked within the automotive industry, looking to join a supportive and positive team, whilst utilising their multi skilled maintenance skills. 

The Role

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for –
  • Ensure all planned maintenance activities are completed within a timely manner
  • Respond to breakdowns across site efficiently and effectively
  • Support in generating practical engineering solutions
  • Data and root cause analysis of machinery and equipment
  • PLC fault finding
  • Working with robotics and high-volume manufacturing machines

The Person

The successful Maintenance Technician will have the following –
  • HNC in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • Time served maintenance apprenticeship in manufacturing environment
  • Experience working with PLCs
  • Competent working autonomously and within a team
  • Continuous improvement mindset, looking to highlight inefficiencies across site
  • Personable and approachable
